These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of M-Chaja power-bank rental services, including our stations, website, mobile platforms, and related systems. By using M-Chaja, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. About M-Chaja
M-Chaja provides on-demand mobile power-bank rental services through self-service charging stations located in public and commercial spaces.
2. Eligibility
To use M-Chaja, you must:
Be at least 18 years old
Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
Provide accurate and complete information when required
3. How the Service Works
Users scan a QR code on a M-Chaja station
A power bank is released for temporary use
Charges apply based on usage duration
Power banks must be returned to any M-Chaja station within the allowed time
4. Fees & Payments
a) Usage Fees
Rental fees are calculated based on time used
Pricing is displayed before confirmation
b) Deposits
A refundable deposit may be required
Deposits are refunded once the power bank is returned in good condition
c) Late or Non-Return
Failure to return a power bank within the specified period may result in:
Additional charges
Deposit forfeiture
Full replacement cost
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
Use the power bank responsibly and for personal device charging only
Return the power bank in good working condition
Not tamper with, damage, modify, or resell the device
Not use the service for unlawful or abusive purposes
6. Lost, Damaged, or Stolen Power Banks
You are responsible for the power bank during the rental period
Lost, damaged, or stolen devices may result in replacement charges
Charges will be deducted from the deposit or payment method on file
7. Station Availability & Downtime
M-Chaja does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of stations or power banks.
We may suspend service due to:
Maintenance
Technical issues
Network outages
Force majeure events
8. Advertising & Content Display
M-Chaja stations may display advertisements, promotions, or third-party content.
Such content does not imply endorsement by M-Chaja.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
M-Chaja is not liable for device compatibility issues
We are not responsible for data loss, device damage, or indirect losses
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the rental session
10. Indemnification
ou agree to indemnify and hold harmless M-Chaja from claims arising from:
Misuse of the power bank
Violation of these Terms
Damage caused to stations or devices
11. Termination & Suspension
M-Chaja may suspend or terminate access if:
Terms are violated
Fraudulent activity is suspected
Abuse of service occurs
Outstanding charges will remain payable.
12. Intellectual Property
All M-Chaja trademarks, logos, designs, and system software remain the exclusive property of M-Chaja.
Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
